Dr. Rebecca Kammer, completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Optical Engineering and then received her O.D. from the Southern California College of Optometry as well as a PhD in Education. She went on to practice locally and became an Instructor of Geometric Optics and Low Vision Rehabilitation. She later became Chief of the Low Vision Department at the Maryann Keverline Walls Low Vision Center, now called Ketchum University. Dr. Kammer is a strong advocate for low vision patients around the world and has served on numerous medical missions to Honduras, Kenya and Tanzania. She consults and advises numerous ophthalmic companies by providing guidance on innovative teaching methods and offers a team-based approach with occupational therapists and optometrists to more effectively improve patient outcomes.
