A seasoned digital video technologist and entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience in advanced system design, distributed software architectures and large-scale end-to-end mobile solutions. Chris has extensive background in medical image acquisition and processing, specialized video encoding, and signal processing. He holds an MD from Varna School of Medicine, where he worked on solutions for multi-modality volumetric data acquisition, and 3D visualization going on to found his first company with this technology. Later, as a co-founder and chief technologist at ActiVideo, Inc., Chris went on to pioneer a multitude of digital video initiatives, including development of early web browser plug-ins for live video capture and streaming, web-based video-messaging platforms, and the first fully integrated cross-platform video-email solution. His current work is in the area of machine vision and machine learning for dynamic image classification.
