Eyedaptic in the Final Round of Vision Tank’s Start-Up Competition
Eyedaptic Selected for its Proprietary Augmented Reality (AR) Vision Technology in the Final Round of Vision Tank’s Start-Up Competition
What do you do when you have combined the use of augmented reality (AR) and a proprietary software to help millions of people regain their independence through improved vision? You become a finalist in Vision Tank 2020, a live, online and interactive event, set to take place July 16, 2020, increasing education on its utility for those with low vision. The annual start-up competition showcases new business ventures who leverage the power of computer technology and artificial intelligence (AI) embedded within their products to address needs in the computer vision market. Finalists will pitch their product to a panel of judges in front of a live online audience and also have an opportunity to participate in the Embedded Vision Summit, a virtual event taking place in September 2020.
Eyedaptic has repeatedly been a finalist in several start up competitions and asked to present its inspiring clinical trial information and use cases on their Augmented Reality Visual Aid. Addressing an unmet need in the low vision market, EYE2 is a visual device which optimizes the user’s remaining vision and improves independence. For those with low vision and retinal disorders, such as AMD (age-related Macular Degeneration), the EYE2 is life-impacting for those struggling to complete everyday tasks such as reading, shopping and using the computer.
A privately held company, Eyedaptic develops visual aid software, enabled by augmented reality hardware, for macular degeneration and other retinal diseases. The proprietary Simulated Natural Vision software goes beyond magnification to enable a fuller field of vision, for those suffering from central vision disorders such as AMD (age-related macular degeneration), to revitalize their quality of life.
